Haitian earthquake relief through Bishop Gumbleton |
Bishop Thomas Gumbleton, founding Bishop-President of Pax Christi USA, helped to institute a clinic in Haiti several years ago. As members of Pax Christi USA continue to discern how to help with the earthquake in Haiti, we want to recommend that you consider supporting both short-term and long-term relief for Haitians by giving to Bishop Gumbleton's clinic, Klinik Sen Michel.
On Sunday, January 24, Bishop Gumbleton will be saying a Mass for the people of Haiti at 11am at St. Leo's in Detroit. Members of the Haitian community in Detroit are expected to attend, and a second collection will be taken for Haiti.
How to give to Klinik Sen Michel
Bishop Gumbleton has asked that checks for the clinic be made out to Fonkoze-USA with "Klinik Sen Michel" in the memo line and be sent directly to him at:
Bishop Thomas Gumbleton
4800 Grand River Ave.
Detroit, MI 48208
All the information that Bishop receives about Haiti will continue to be posted on his website.
