What is a Pax Christi Community?
A Pax Christi community is a group of Pax Christi USA members and other friends who meet on a regular basis to pray, study and act for peace with justice. They embrace the Pax Christi USA statement of purpose and priorities. Examples of Pax Christi communities are: city-wide, parish-based, religious congregations, and campus-based.

Benefits for Pax Christi Communities
  • deeper participation in the Pax Christi USA movement of prayer, study and action
  • participation in local group email list
  • discounts when purchasing bulk orders of most of Pax Christi USA’s resources
  • special action alert mailings when mobilization is needed as well as information about Pax Christi national projects and campaigns
  • access to grants through the Development Fund
  • access to computer printouts and/or mailing labels of Pax Christi USA members in your area
  • access to national staff personnel for consultation and as speakers
  • the chance to network and share ideas with other Pax Christi communities and to send the national office information about your group’s activities to include in The Catholic Peace Voice
  • use of Pax Christi as part of the name of your group

Responsibilities of Pax Christi Communities
  • encouraging all members to register with the national office and having three (3) or more registered Pax Christi members, including the local community contact
  • meeting on a regular basis (weekly, monthly, etc.) for prayer, study and action focusing on one or more of Pax Christi USA’s priority areas
  • contacting new Pax Christi members in the area who want to join a local Pax Christi community
  • participating in regional Pax Christi structures if the group is located within an organized Pax Christi region
