An Immigrant's Prayer

Written by Remigio Hernández, an immigrant to the United States, this prayer asks for God’s blessings upon all who cross borders, especially immigrants, giving thanks because God walks always "with those who cross borders, in search of well-being, doing their part in building the world you entrusted to us." In both English and Spanish, with reflection questions in English.

"Giving is the essence of religious life: giving space in one's life and home, giving a welcome, giving forgiveness, giving love, even giving one's life. Don't save. Don't store up 'treasure which moth and rust attack.' Live by the rule of giving."
- Dorothy Day
